The roots for Beanie Hat Coffee Company were established in May of 2020. Two months into the Covid lockdown, and sick of drinking stale store bought coffee, we knew there had to be a better alternative. An internet search of “how to roast coffee at home" led us down a rabbit hole which ignited a new found love and passion for craft coffee. What initially began as roasting beans for personal enjoyment quickly turned into sharing with family and friends. The decision to launch Beanie Hat Coffee into the company we now are, came from our desire to improve the local coffee influence in our community.

Beanie Hat Coffee Company is our side hustle, our dream, our pursuit of excellence, and our passion for great coffee. Our mission is to create a sustainable, welcoming, and collaborative experience for our customers while committing our efforts for the greater good of our coffee loving community.
Meet Our Team
We are Bill and Chelsea, a husband and wife duo, and owners of Beanie Hat Coffee Company. We both come from medical backgrounds.
Bill is a Physical Therapist by trade. He received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Cleveland State University in 2017, and he practices locally in the home health setting serving patients in the Mentor and Lake County Communities. He is the head of our roasting and coffee operations.
Chelsea received her Medical Assisting degree from the University of Akron in 2014. She has since left the medical field in pursuit of her passion for photography, and she now runs her own business: Forest Photography Co. She is also a stay at home mother for our 2 beautiful daughters and our crazy pup. She heads our brand content, social media, and marketing operations.
